
Note: You can only import a finished ME1 save, where you've got to the end credits. See more: Two Doctors Who Join Forces In Business Form A, Hackensack Meridian Health And Eisai Inc Navigate to the folder where your Mass Effect 1 saves are kept, probably C:\Users \Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect\Save, and click OK. In the menu on the left, choose Save Games and click the big button called 'Copy Mass Effect 1 Save Games'. The Mass Effect 2 Configuration Utility should open up. If running from Origin, find the binaries folder, probably at C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 2\Binaries, and run MassEffect2Config.exe If running the game with a disk, open Mass Effect 2 normally to get the pre-start menu and choose Configure. General instructions for importing ME1 saves to ME2 using the configuration tool ('cause it ain't obvious): Basically the problem is that ME2 doesn't know where ME1 saved things. Frustrates the hell out of me that I need to do this every time, but at least it's a simple process. Like people said below, you have to use the Config tool.
